North Karelia regional plan 2040 in a unified data model (HAME)
Description
The regional plan sets out the principles of land use and urban structure and identifies areas necessary for the development of the region in North Karelia. The aim is to promote planned land use in the province. The regional plan also illustrates and conveys national land use objectives and coordinates them with both regional and local objectives. The regional plan guides the zoning of municipalities.
The regional plan combination includes the current regional plan situation in North Karelia, the North Karelia regional plan 2040, the regional plan 2040, and the regional plan 2040, the Heinävesi sub-regional plan and the wind power areas remaining in force from the 3 rd phase county plan. The spatial data set consists of regional reservations, sub-areas, targets and lines of the regional plan.
— North Karelia’s regional plan 2040 has been approved by the Regional Council on 7 September 2020.
— The first phase of North Karelia’s regional plan 2040 was approved by the county council on 13 June 2022. An appeal has been lodged against the plan and the appeal is currently under consideration by the Supreme Administrative Court.
— North Karelia’s regional plan 2040 The Heinävesi subregional regional plan has been approved by the county council on 4 December 2023.
— Karelia’s 3 rd phase provincial plan (valid only for wind power areas) was confirmed by the Ministry of the Environment on 5 March 2014.
