River basins of major rivers as defined in Article 3 of the Water Framework Directive (WFD)
Description
River basins reported to the European Commission in response to Article 3 of the Water Framework Directive. The watershed is defined as the area of land whose surface runoff flows entirely through a series of streams, rivers and eventually lakes into the sea through a single mouth, estuary or delta.
