Orders of arrival of the knights and horses of the Quintana of Foligno
Description
The dataset refers to the arrival orders of the binomial rider/horse in the period 2000-2016, for the two Quintana rides (challenge and revenge) that take place every year. The challenge generally takes place in June, the rematch in September. The Palio takes place in the stadium "Campo de li Giochi" of Foligno, which has the shape of an 8 bounded by a series of flags and in the center is placed the statue of the god Mars holding a ring. The single carousel takes place in three rounds. At each round, the rider attempts to complete the route three times in the shortest possible time and to remove the ring from the arm of the god Mars. The diameter of the rings of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd rounds is 8 cm, 6 cm and 5 cm respectively. The one who achieves the highest score in the shortest total time is proclaimed the winner of the carousel.
