Description of the study population
In 2022, 114,294 people received their retirement pension for the first time, which they did not accumulate with a survivor’s and/or separated or divorced spouse’s pension. This figure represents 4% of all pensioners who received a statutory pension in 2022. Comparing the population of recent pensioners to the total population of pensioners (i.e. all persons who received a statutory pension in 2022), we see several discrepancies.
