swissEO NDVIdiff: Changes in the NDVI

Note map for changes in the NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) for the previous year period based on satellite data (Sentinel-2) with a spatial resolution of ten meters. The index indicates a change in the density and/or chlorophyll content ("green") of vegetation. NDVI increases can be triggered by growth and increased productivity, whereas NDVI decreases are usually the result of management or natural disturbances (storm damage, drought, insect damage, etc.) and show the effects of reduced vitality. This dataset was developed in cooperation with the BFH-HAFL and the Federal Office for the Environment FOEN for waldmonitoring.ch and for the Federal Drought Portal. Contains modified Copernicus Sentinel data.
