Noise mapping – noise reduction planning in the area of the city of Braunschweig
Description
The City of Brunswick already implemented in 2009 the mandatory requirements of the “Environmental Noise Directive” as part 6 of the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG). Here is the first stage of noise reduction planning, the so-called noise mapping. The data are determined according to types of noise (rail, road, aircraft, industrial and commercial noise). The use of the standardised load indices, Lden and Lnight ensures that data are comparable across the EU.
