Dataset underpinning manuscript describing the design, building, and testing of the B-SAFE tool. B-SAFE is an Microsoft Excel-based, user-friendly tool that allows researchers to quickly identify surrogate microorganisms to use in place of pathogenic microorganisms, in just-in-time research.
