Austria’s Annual Air Emission Inventory 1990-2013
Description
This report provides a summary of Austria’s provisional emission inventory for the year 2013 and the final emission inventory for the year 2012 according to Article 8 of the NEC Directive. Over the period between 2012 and 2013, emissions of sulphur dioxide (SO2) decreased by 0.9 %, nitrogen oxide emissions (NOx) decreased by 3.6 %, non-methane volatile organic compounds (NMVOCs) decreased by 4.7 % and ammonia emissions (NH3) decreased by 0.6 %. A comparison with the national emission ceilings to be attained by 2010 shows that in 2013 emissions of SO2, NMVOC and NH3 were below these ceilings, whereas the NOx emissions were significantly above them.
