Repeal of measures under IG-L.
Description
After exceedance of limit values for PM10, NO2 and benzo(a)pyrene, programmes and measures were adopted in some Länder under the Immissionsschutzgesetz-Luft (IG-L). On behalf of the BMK and in cooperation with the offices of the Land Governments, the Federal Environment Agency has proposed criteria and developed guidelines on the basis of which these measures can be repealed or amended. These criteria include an estimation of the change in the immission load, a consideration of the meteorological range of fluctuations, an estimation of the risk of non-compliance with the limit value and an increase in exposure, and a consideration of the trend in emissions. For the analysis and the outcome of the criteria verification, the guidelines shall provide the documentation in a report or an opinion.
