Morphological Quality Index (IQM) - Start/end points of the morphological trait
Description
The Morphological Quality Index (IQM) is a parametric method that assesses whether human activities affect the natural evolution of a watercourse. The morphological status is assessed by considering geomorphological ‘functionality’, artificiality and morphological variations, which together contribute to the formation of the index. The monitoring activities are carried out according to the criteria set out in the IDRAIM system manual produced by ISPRA (Series Manuals and Guidelines 131; Rinaldi et al., 2016)
