Description
The Land Capability Classification (USDA) expresses the potential of the soil to host and promote the growth of cultivated and wild plants. Potential land use is assessed on the basis of the capacity to produce biomass, the possibility to cover a wide crop spectrum and the reduced risk of soil degradation. The capacity of a soil is a function of some physical, chemical and biological characteristics: the more favourable these properties will be to the life of the larger plants, the use of these soils may be. Map derived from the 1:250,000 soil map, available for the entire regional territory.
