Chemical elements in support of the Ecological State of Lakes
Description
Chemical elements in support of the Ecological State of water bodies within the meaning of Legislative Decree 152/2006 (Annex 1 Tab. 1/B of Ministerial Decree 260/2010), is a descriptor that considers the presence in lakes of non-priority substances (halophenols, aniline and derivatives, metals, nitroaromatics, pesticides and volatile organic compounds). The calculation procedure provides for the comparison of the average annual concentrations of the monitored sites with the environmental quality standards (EQS-MA) provided for by the Decree. The water body, which meets all environmental quality standards (EQS-MA) in all monitored sites, is classified as Good. If not, it shall be classified as insufficient. If all measurements carried out were found to be below the limits of quantification of the analytical laboratory, the status of the water body shall be elevated. It is considered the worst result of those attributed to individual stations over the three years. In 2010 the first monitoring cycle (2010-2013) under Legislative Decree no. 152/06
