Piezometric level of groundwater
Description
The piezometric level of the groundwater is the proportion of the piezometric surface of the aquifer. In (free) groundwater aquifers is identified with the level of the separation surface between the water saturated zone and the above unsaturated (airing) zone. For artesian groundwater (under pressure) this level is higher than the measured aquifer horizon and often exceeds the campaign plan. This indicator is also referred to as the groundwater level or groundwater level. This usually refers to the average annual or seasonal situation and extreme values.
