Harp Piemonte — Smoke Europe WM
Description
Multiscale service, realised by Arpa Piemonte as part of the Risknat project, containing the cartographic representation of the morphology of the European territory obtained through the technique of virtual shading (hillshade) of the altimetric model of the ground. The service is available online as a multi-scale map service (tiled). 14 scales between the scale 1:18.000,000 and the 1:2,500 scale were chosen to allow a homogeneous representation of the territory at different levels of detail. The new multi-scale database has been generated through the processing and subsequent mosaicing of numerous digital terrain models, such as: — Digital model of the Land in step 30 m ASTER 2 — Digital model of the Land in step 5 m made by the Piedmont Region (LIDAR shots) — Cartographic base made by Arpa Piemonte, based on the DTM dataset 2009-2011 Piemonte ICE of the Piedmont Region — Digital Model of the Land at 2 m pitch made by the Region Valle d’Aosta (LIDAR) — Batimetric relief of the Ligurian Sea. The reference system adopted is WGS84 — WEB MERCATOR (Auxiliary Sphere) — EPSG:3857. The service is also accessible in WMTS mode.
