Harp Piedmont - Map of the concentration of chromium, nickel, cobalt and vanadium in the soils of the Piedmont plain

The spatial distributions are made available for homogeneous areas of concentration of chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni) and cobalt (Co) and vanadium (V) obtained by processing data from the Harp Network for environmental monitoring of soils, as noted by Regional Executive Decision No 8-3474 of 2 July 2021.For homogeneous areas of concentration, summary sheets with natural background values (NFVs), statistical reference parameters (average, median, standard deviation, minimum and maximum values, coefficient of variation, percentiles, outliers), concentration box plots and cumulative frequency distribution curves in percentiles can be downloaded.Cartography and statistical parameters can also be viewed in WMS format and downloaded as vector geographical data in WFS format. The concentrations of contaminants, expressed in mg/kg, refer to all dry materials of the fraction less than 2 mm, including the skeleton fraction 2 cm - 2 mm. As part of the application of the legislation (Legislative Decree 152/06, Presidential Decree 120/2017, Ministerial Decree 46/2019), the statistical parameters provided are representative of the surface layer 0-100 cm.I VFN have been calculated according to the international standards ISO 19258/2005 ¿Soil quality - Guidance on the determination of background values¿.The VFN provided are compatible with the definition of the Ministerial Decree 46/2019 of ¿geochemical background¿ - "distribution of a substance in the soil resulting from natural processes, with any anthropogenic component not detectable or not appreciable."The statistical parameters provided can be used according to what is established in Article 11 paragraph 1 of the Presidential Decree 120/2017: ¿Il piano di indagine può fare riferimento anche ai dati pubblicati e validati dall¿Arpa territorialmente competente relativi all'area oggetto di indagine¿.Le aree omogenee di concentrazione individuate sono comparabili con la definizione riportata dal D.P.R. 120/2017 di ¿ambito territoriale con fondo naturale¿ - "porzione di territorio geograficamente individuabile in cui può essere dimostrato che un valore di concentrazione di una o più sostanze nel suolo, superiore alle concentrazioni soglia di contaminazione di cui alle colonne A e B, Tabella 1, Allegato 5, al Titolo V, della Parte IV del decreto legislativo 3 aprile 2006, n. 152, sia ascrivibile a fenomeni naturali legati alla specifica pedogenesi del territorio stesso, alle sue caratteristiche litologiche e alle condizioni chimico-fisiche presenti"Le ipotesi riferite alla prevalente origine naturale di Cr, Ni, Co e V derivano dall¿analisi di una popolazione di dati statisticamente significativa a scala di dettaglio 1:50.000.
