Harp Piedmont - Ecological network of mammals at the scale 1:10.000 (historical data of 2008)
Description
The service illustrates the degree of potential biodiversity of the territory and identifies the main elements of the ecological network, according to the number of mammal species that the territory is potentially able to host, on the basis of 23 species considered, selected among the most representative on the Piedmontese territory. Areas of greater or lesser naturalistic value are identified, areas not suitable for intrinsic characteristics (soil cover, altitude or slope) and degraded areas due to the presence of intense human activities. It should be noted that a new methodology has recently been adopted, the results of which are available on the Piedmont Geoportal, to which reference is made.
