Audiovisual document on André Duchscher. On 21 May 1939, the population of ESCH/SURE was gathered to celebrate André Duchscher. After a speech and the delivery of a wreath everyone follows the band to the village. The municipal harmony gives a concert and the Bourgmestre presents a decoration. A plaque bearing the words “1840-1940” was inaugurated on André Duchscher’s home. The authorities took advantage of the CENTENAIRE’s festivities to celebrate the locality’s son one year ahead.
