Anchorage Zones - Hawaii

Description

Displays the boundaries of anchorage zones and non-anchorage zones for the State of Hawaii as recorded on NOAA nautical charts. These are offshore areas outside of harbors where ships and boats can lie at anchor; many offer natural shelter from the effects of storms. Some anchorage zones have usage restrictions while others are prohibited entirely. These are indicated herein by polygon color. 52 Open Geospatial Consortium Web Map Service - Cached (WMS-C). Use of WMS-C is similar to traditional WMS but with the addition of the "tiled=true" parameter, which triggers GeoServer to pull map tiles from GeoWebCache if they have been previously generated. This can dramatically improve performance, especially for larger datasets. Supported map formats include JPEG and PNG.
