Altona Field Lab Inverse Model WRR 2020

Description

Includes data for measured inert tracer breakthrough curves first reported in Hawkins (2020) (Water Resources Research). In addition, this submission includes the production well temperature measurements first reported in Hawkins et al. (2017a) (Water Resources Research, volume 53, pp. 1210-1230). The data included requires MATLAB to view.

21 The report by Hawkins et al, "Measurement and Simulation of Heat Exchange in Fractured Bedrock Using Inert and Thermally Degrading Tracers", investigates multicomponent groundwater tracers for flow testing. https://doi.org/10.1002/2016WR019617
21 The report by Hawkins et al, "Predictive Inverse Model for Advective Heat Transfer in a Short-Circuited Fracture: Dimensional Analysis, Machine Learning, and Field Demonstration", uses machine learning to identify the spatial distribution of an unknown permeability field in parallel plates. Breakthrough cures for measured inert tracers are shown in figure 5 and figure 6. https://doi.org/10.1029/2020WR027065
