Algorithm register The Hague
Description
The algorithm register is an overview of algorithms that the municipality of The Hague uses in its municipal services. The municipality wants to be transparent about the use of algorithms and be able to explain how a decision was made. This explainability and transparency are central to the municipality's data strategy. By publishing the register as open data, the municipality wants to contribute to the international FAIR principles so that we can promote the findability, accessibility, interchangeability and reuse of data. For each algorithm, it is described what the algorithm does, how it is applied and where you can find more information about the algorithm. With these descriptions we are in line with the principles of the national consortium Public checks on algorithms that develops a metadata standard for algorithm registers. Together with you, we hope to make our algorithms fairer and better. Your feedback is therefore welcome. The register is constantly evolving and is constantly being adapted on the basis of new insights and information.
