Description
Some areas in Rossendale are classed as Alcohol Control Zones. This means that while people are permitted to drink alcohol in the designated area, they must stop drinking and/or surrender any alcohol or alcohol containers in their possession if asked to do so by a police officer. Anyone who fails to comply without reasonable excuse will be committing an arrestable offence and will be liable on conviction to a fine of up to £500.
