Action Plan Insect Diversity.
Description
Four out of five animal species in Austria are insects. They have great ecological significance and economic relevance. In recent decades, the decline in insect populations has increasingly come into the spotlight of research and the public. This decline is caused by various factors and there is sufficient evidence to address this trend with appropriate measures. The present Insect Diversity Action Plan offers numerous proposals for measures in several fields of action. The Action Plan is intended to serve as a general reference for the further development and implementation of concrete projects and projects. Many actors are affected and all can contribute significantly to the protection of insects in the respective area of action.
