Node of the Andalusian Environmental Information Network. Regional Government of Andalusia. Set of monthly average AQUA MODIS satellite images filtered from the historical chlorophyll-a series for the period 2000-2011. Spatial resolution 1100 m. Scope Atlantic Ocean and Alboran Sea. In ETRS89 UTM spindle 30. In order to obtain the average behavior of chlorophyll (mg/cm3), in the Andalusian coast, through the calculation of the monthly averages of the historical series. This parameter allows the estimation of the concentration of phytoplankton and indirectly of biological activity, in addition to being used as an instrument for monitoring eutrophication processes in the marine environment.
