List of quality wines (DOCG, DOC and IGT) of Umbria
Description
The CMO Wine (the Common Organisation of the Wine Market) defines quality wines as wines with a designation of origin (D.O.) and wines with a geographical indication (G.I.). In the category of DO/IG wines, Legislative Decree No 61 of 8 April 2010 on the protection of designations of origin and geographical indications for wines maintained the national classification of DOCG and DOC wines (wines with a PDO) and IGT wines (wines with a PGI).
The production of quality wines of the Region are represented by 2 Denominations of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin (DOCG), 13 Denominations of Controlled Origin (DOC) and 6 Typical Geographical Indications (IGT). The dataset contains the list of quality wines of Umbria with the description of the production areas and links to the Production Specifications.
