Description
Biosphere areas are areas to be protected and developed in a uniform manner, which are (1) large-scale and characteristic of certain cultural landscapes with rich natural features, 2. in essential parts meet the requirements of a nature reserve, incidentally predominantly a landscape protected area, (3) mainly for the conservation, development or restoration of a landscape characterised by a diverse range of uses and the biodiversity and biodiversity that has grown historically therein, including wild and previous forms of economically exploited or usable animal and plant species, 4. serve as an example for the development and testing of the natural products, and (5) serve environmental education and education, ecological research and long-term environmental observation. The biosphere areas are declared by statutory ordinance (NatSchG § 28) and are to be divided and developed into core, nursing and development zones taking into account the exceptions offered by the large area and settlement. Core zones are protected like nature reserves, the remaining zones are mostly protected as landscape protected areas. In Baden-Württemberg, two biosphere areas are designated with the Schwäbische Alb biosphere area and the Schwarzwald biosphere area. The Swabian Alb biosphere area has been designated as a biosphere area in accordance with state law since 22.3.2008. UNESCO was recognised as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 2009. The Black Forest biosphere area has been designated as a biosphere area under state law since 1.2.2016. UNESCO was recognised as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in June 2017. Please note the following information on the completeness and quality of the data provided: due to inaccuracies in the acquisition of technical objects, there are occasional non-valid geometries according to OGC Schema validation. Since GIS servers such as ArcGIS server, GeoServer or UMN MapServer have to use/process ever more accurate data bases, the inspection routine is always further developed and warns in the tolerance range as well as in the topological recording of inaccuracies (e.g. by third-party software). This means that geometries can no longer be displayed or recorded. The objected geometry errors include self-intersections (self-intersections) or double bases. Therefore, the LUBW cannot guarantee the completeness and stability of the Download Service (WFS). If necessary, please check the completeness on the basis of the presentation services also offered (WMS).
