The Netherlands Nature Network
Description
All nature reserves belonging to the South Holland part of the Netherlands Nature Network (formerly Ecological Main Structure, EHS). This includes existing and new nature, permanent agricultural area within Natura2000 areas, ecological connections and water nature area.
The NNN consists of a robust, high-quality and coherent network of existing forest and nature reserves, estates, new nature reserves, ecological connections, the large national waters and the North Sea. The NNN falls under protection category 1 (areas of special quality).
The NNN was adopted on 26 March 2024.
