Noise Directive (DF4 and DF8): Strategic acoustic maps of major airports, 2017
Description
The collection contains acoustic maps of major airports, with traffic of more than 50,000 air operations per year. The data shall include information on the areas exposed to the specified sound level for the LDWN indicator (daytime, evening and nighttime noise indicator) and for the LN indicator (nighttime noise indicator). The data was compiled by the airport managers. The data were subject to reporting to the European Commission in 2017, in accordance with the provisions of Directive 2002/49/EC (DF 4 and DF 8) - the Noise Directive. The data provided to the European Commission was updated in October 2018. The maps are updated every 5 years. LDWN denotes the long-term average sound level A in decibels (dB) determined in accordance with ISO 1996-2: 1987 for all days of the year (understood as a given calendar year in terms of sound emission and average year in terms of meteorological conditions), taking into account the time of day (understood as the time interval from 1hrs. 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. 6 p.m.), the time of the evening (understood as the time interval from 6 p.m. 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. 10 p.m.) and the time of night (understood as the time interval from 1 p.m. 10 p.m. to 10 p.m. 6 o'clock). It is used to determine the nuisance associated with noise exposure to LDWN. 'LN' (night noise indicator) means the long-term average sound level A, expressed in decibels (dB), determined in accordance with ISO 1996-2: 1987 during all the seasons of the night (understood as the time interval from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) 10 p.m. to 10 p.m. 6.00) in the year (understood as the calendar year in question in terms of sound emissions and the average year in terms of meteorological conditions); This indicator is used to determine the LN sleep disorder. The data layers shall be representative of the regional annual situation.
