Comprehensive mapping of the biotope types of the city of Zurich
Purpose: The mapping records the current biotope and networking quality of the urban area by means of a specific biotope type key and complements the urban land cover with statements on ecological quality. Biotope mapping is a fundamental tool for biodiversity promotion. It supports professional advice as well as the derivation and prioritisation of recovery options.
