H2K – The Carinthian Water App

Do you live in Carinthia or are you on holiday in this federal state? You want information about the lakes there or about precipitation values in order to be able to plan your bathing day / holiday optimally? Then this app is exactly what you are looking for. All information is automatically updated every time you launch the app, so you're always up to date. This data is provided by the state of Carinthia. H2K – The Carinthian Water App participated in the OpenDataChallenge 2015, a competition organised by the State of Carinthia to create innovative and creative applications and concepts with the help of Open Government Data. A jury of experts awarded the app first place in the category ‘Web applications and mobile applications (apps)’. FUNCTIONS * Map and list view with the measured values of the measuring stations * Clustering of the measuring stations in the map view to improve clarity * Choice between the iOS standard cards, the OpenStreetMap and the OpenTopoMap * Filtering (showing and hiding) the measuring stations * Display of detailed information, such as the water level and water temperature of the lake, but also of precipitation amounts and air temperatures * Display of “historical data” (maximum last six months) in the form of diagrams * Sharing of the measured values via email, SMS and Twitter * Comprehensive options for notification. Get notified if, for example, a lake has a certain water temperature, or the amount of precipitation has exceeded or fallen below any value * Get a route calculated * Full text search in the filter menu, map view and list view
