Social Security Motivation Survey, 2019

Description

The purpose of the research was to study the factors related to the motivation to protect users on online social networks. The aim of the study was to find out how trust in the ISP, trust in the social media provider, trust in the government, privacy concerns, fear of government intrusions, place of control and perceived threats affect the motivation to protect users on online social networks. The research followed a cross-cutting research strategy. The survey was completed by 289 students of the Faculty of Security Sciences University of Maribor, with 276 questionnaires taken into account in the analysis. The questionnaire and the data file are available in Slovenian and English. The data file is accessible under special conditions, i.e. on request via a secure connection (SUF version).
