Slovenian pulse 5/2011

Description

Among the current issues, the central topic this time was the referendum day, when decisions will be made on pension reform, undeclared work and the openness of archives. It was determined how much participation can be counted on and what the referendum results should be. Respondents were also asked what exits they see from the current situation and whether they are inclined towards early elections, insistence of the current government until regular elections or a change in the head of the government. The case of Maja Makovec Brenčič also examined how people look at finding new names to lead the government. In the regular content part, the survey is dedicated to Europe, in which it is determined to what extent the inhabitants of Slovenia today feel like European citizens and to which aspects of Europe they attach the greatest importance. In this way, the significance of the extent to which Europe is today defined in Slovenian eyes by the euro, democracy, history, human rights, culture, Christianity, the Enlightenment, the flag, law, multi-nationality, the European Commission and the European Parliament is determined.
