Description
A series of questions on democracy in Slovenia examines, among other things, how the people of Slovenia view democracy. Do people even consider Slovenia a democratic society? Does democracy really work? How much trust does the President of the Republic, the Parliament, the Government, political parties, the judiciary and the military have? How many people does democracy mean? What is the prevailing opinion on alternatives to democracy, such as the rule of a strong leader or the rule of experts? Is democracy really the best form of government for all countries in the world? It also shows how much change has occurred compared to last year.
Among the current questions, it is determined how much of the population of Slovenia believes that Janša received commissions from the arms trade. It also presents what people think about the publication of archival documents on the functioning of the former State Security Service, the extent to which they consider the conduct of the SDS in this regard to be correct, negligent or deliberately manipulative; and how they view Türk’s statements that he was only aware of the Greater Carniola assassination from the media after the documents were released. It also shows the extent to which current events affect the relationship between the parties and support to the current government.
