Parents between work and family

Description

The purpose of the research was to contribute to the understanding of the relationship between parenthood and paid work in Slovenia. The objectives of the research were: Obtain up-to-date data on the take-up of childcare leave; analyse the relationship between parenthood and employment and career prospects; make proposals for reconciling the family and work responsibilities of parents. A questionnaire for parents was created, containing 31 basic questions and covering the following areas: a) demographic data on respondents and their partners, their family and employment situation, b) different forms of parental leave, c) different forms of childcare, d) problems in reconciling parental and work responsibilities.
