Social Support of the Student Government of the University of Ljubljana (1992)

Description

Based on theoretical and empirical findings, network generators were designed to measure the theoretically justified dimension of the social support - the content of the network generator for measuring the information support was adapted to the characteristics of the experimental group - members of the student government of the University of Ljubljana. A complex experimental plan was designed to find the factors that influence the quality of social support measurement using a survey questionnaire. The experimental design included three different scales (binary scale, eleven-step ordinal scale and line length assessment), two data collection techniques (list recognition and memory enumeration), giving and receiving social support (basic questions - acceptance and reciprocal questions - giving support), and the time between successive repetitions of measurements (20 minutes).
