Slovenian public opinion 1999/4
Description
The purpose of the research is to establish a comprehensive picture of the factors and processes of forming positions towards the European Union in the pre-association period in Slovenia and to carry out a narrowed set of SJM questions, especially those from the Politbarometer series. Research questions about the EU were presented by the authors in the following sections: media participation, sources of information and factors for forming opinions, sources of information, media participation, information, interest in the EU and the referendum intention, respondents' expectations regarding integration into the European Union, advantages and disadvantages of Slovenia's integration, expectations from membership of the European Union: arguments for and against entry, who will gain and who will lose by joining the EU, an assessment of Slovenia's economic situation in the EU, an assessment of the household's financial situation after joining the EU, respondents' views on key dilemmas regarding integration, whether you would be sorry if Slovenia did not include who would hinder the process of integration, the favourable attitude of the European and Slovenian public towards Slovenia's integration into the EU, whether Slovenia is on an equal footing with other candidate countries, whether Slovenia can successfully develop even if it does not join the EU, a referendum intention, an assessment of the European report, a programme for better informing the Slovenian public about the European Union and integration into the European Union, awareness of the implementation of the programme, knowledge of the concrete activities of the government programme.
