Description

The empirical survey on national security (a sample of 1,050 adult Slovenian citizens) covered the following topics: peace and security in the world (problem of sources of threats to international security, identification of factors of peace, development trends in Europe, formation of pan-European armed forces), peace and security in Slovenia (factors of threats to Slovenian security, factors of maintaining the independence and sovereignty of Slovenia, the role of the Slovenian Armed Forces in ensuring peace in Europe), the national security system in Slovenia (volume, structure and financing of the Slovenian national security system, the role of the army in making political decisions, education of Slovenian officers, Slovenia and NATO, etc.) and the security culture in Slovenia (preparedness for sacrifice, patriotism, military traditions, peace movements).
