Slovenian public opinion 1993/2

Description

The research is intended for the implementation of two blocks from the international survey, ADP - IDNo: ISSP93 and ADP - IDNo: ISSP94. The content of the first part of the questionnaire includes views on the role of women in the family and in employment, care for children, division of work in the household, views on gender roles, sexuality and partnership relationships, marriage, divorce, homosexuality, questions about abortion. The second block of the questionnaire covers views on ecology and ecological habits. It begins with the attitude of obedience in upbringing. Ecological theme encompasses the scale of trust in science. It stands for the importance of ecological problems in general and in comparison with economic problems, progress, ecological ethics, the view of nature as something sacred or profane. Respondents express their willingness to work financially for the benefit of the environment, report on everyday ecological habits, such as sorting, vegetarianism, and political ecological engagement. In between there are a number of questions that measure knowledge in the field of ecology, such as the greenhouse effect, the danger of radioactivity. The ecological threat from air pollution, water pollution, etc. is also assessed. Part of the questionnaire is intended to address institutional solutions and specifics of environmental issues in Slovenia, such as the attitude towards the Krško Nuclear Power Plant and the issue of the construction of waste dumps. Part of the questions on the topic of ecology were also included in the ADP - IDNo survey: SJM971. A large block of demographic issues has been added.
