Slovenian public opinion 1988
Description
The special features of this survey are questions related to the military and defence and developments in Kosovo. The questionnaire starts with views on the economic situation. This is followed by a chapter on federal constitutional amendments, which includes questions about knowledge of the constitution and the content of the proposed amendments. This is followed by an assessment of trust in the Slovenian and Yugoslav political leadership and proposals for improvements to the electoral system. This is followed by an up-to-date chapter on the assessment of international relations. In the chapter on security and defence follow the standard questions on the possible military threat to Yugoslavia. This is followed by a series of questions on international relations. This is followed by questions about economic and political changes in the Soviet Union. Questions about religion and the Church contain a standard question about one's own religion and attendance at religious ceremonies. The research also reveals how Slovenians spend their free time and how much they engage in cultural activities. The last chapter concerns positions on criminal offences. Respondents also evaluate the importance of the action Gift - I get. Demographic issues follow.
