Slovenian Public Opinion 2010

Description

Slovenian Public Opinion (SJM) 2010 is a survey conducted as part of the European Social Survey 2010 (ESS 2010). The ESS is an academically-led international survey that has already been carried out in more than 30 countries. The objectives of the research are threefold, namely: monitor and interpret changing societal values and behaviours in Europe and explore how they relate to changes in European institutions. The second objective is to combine an improved advanced survey methodology in individual European countries. The third objective is, inter alia, to develop a series of European social science indicators, including behavioural indicators. Slovenian public opinion 2010 is part of the fifth round of the ESF programme, in which the survey covered, in addition to Slovenia, 27 countries, mainly from the European Union. In addition to the basic content module, two additional rotating content modules are included in this round, namely: Work, Family and Prosperity: the impact of the economic downturn" (also included in the ESC round 2) and "trust in criminal justice: Comparative European Analysis. The survey uses only the most accurate methodology – consistent random sampling, a target participation rate of at least 70 per cent and precise translation protocols.
