Description

This survey is part of a pan-European project that takes place in 21 countries and aims to record social changes over time. The research focuses mainly on two issues: the conception and practice of citizenship and the problem of immigration. The questionnaire consists of six sections. In the first, relatively short, we find questions about media monitoring. The second block is aimed at government and politics in general and includes, among other things, attitudes towards politics, trust in political institutions, voting behaviour and preferences, and satisfaction with the functioning of political institutions. The following section asks questions about the personal lives of respondents: contacts with friends, personal safety, belonging to religion and national origin. The fourth part of the questionnaire is devoted to the problem of immigrants. Respondents first assess the size and origin of immigrants and express their views on the policy of limiting them. Then there are questions about the attitudes towards immigrants and the experiences of respondents with them. Finally, there are a few questions regarding the refugee issue. The fifth section is dedicated to voluntary organisations and their importance in the daily lives of respondents. The chapter concludes with questions about work and working conditions. This is followed by a large demographic block, which is completed by questions with which respondents assess their personalities.
