Description

The purpose of the research is to find out the factors of attitude towards integration with the European Union and NATO. This is the third time the research has been done on this topic. The questionnaire consists of eight sets of questions. The first part contains questions about the general living conditions in Slovenia, the meteorological situation of households and their financial situation, as well as about the economic situation now and in the near future. In the second part there are questions that concern values or attitudes towards individual social phenomena and social groups, as well as trust in institutions. This also includes issues relating to the relationship to freedom, equality and security. The third section deals with integration issues in the European Union; information on the enlargement process, interest in the EU, consequences of EU integration and relations between Slovenia and the EU. The fourth section is devoted to questions relating to the assessment of the functioning of state authorities. The fifth block concerns the attitudes towards political parties and party preferences of the respondents; the sixth block is aimed at integration into NATO; information about NATO and the enlargement process, attitude towards NATO, whether it is necessary to call a referendum in order to join NATO, threats to Slovenia as a NATO member and attitude towards NATO in general. In the seventh set there are questions about the singing of news programmes on TV and radio and the frequency of reading newspapers or magazines. The eighth section deals with demographic issues.
