Attitude to vaccination against SARS-CoV-2, 2020

Description

In December 2020, the SARS-CoV-2 vaccine was first authorised in the Western world. However, the effectiveness of national vaccination plans depends on the willingness of the population to be vaccinated. Previous research on vaccine hesitancy has shown various factors that influence decision-making on vaccination, such as gender, age, education, socio-economic status, occupation, vaccination experience, Experience with the disease and trust in professionals. To better understand attitudes towards COVID-19 vaccination A cross-sectional survey of the Slovenian population was carried out. 12,042 individuals responded to the online survey. Ordinary regression and mediation analysis examined the interaction of various factors affecting the intent to vaccinate. The textual analysis of the answers to the open questions provided a better insight into the motivation for the answers. The data was weighted by Valicon, who used the questions on his JazVem panel in parallel.
