Registration census 2011

The 2011 register census is one of the statistical surveys of the regular part of the programme of statistical surveys.
carried out by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia (SURS). A register census is a way of compiling data on population, households, families and
dwellings, where we statistically link data from existing administrative and statistical sources without additional field collection.
With the transition to the register census, Slovenia has joined rare European countries, which are such a way of collecting and processing population data.
Households and dwellings have already been implemented with the aim of reducing administrative barriers and research costs. For the purpose of simpler distribution
microdata to other types of microdata users are also prepared anonymised data files (persons and dwellings, excluding households and families), which represent
5% sample of the household population in Slovenia.
