Domestic violence

The main purpose of the presented project is an analysis of domestic violence in Slovenia with special emphasis on
the level of social tolerance in relation to violence, the level of awareness and sensitivity to the above-mentioned issues, and the analysis of media discourse
domestic violence.
The concrete objectives of the project were:
1) Statistical analysis of domestic violence in Slovenia in the last twenty years and trend analysis;
2) Analysis of the general social climate in Slovenia in relation to domestic violence;
3) Analysis of media discourse and treatment of domestic violence;
4) Development of professional guidelines and strategies of measures (treatment) and prevention of violence in family environments (emphasis on awareness raising and sensitization of the public).
