Job-search mobility of Slovenian workers in EU/EEA countries
Description
With Slovenia's full membership of the EU and the gradual elimination of legal and other barriers to employment in the EU Member States on the one hand, and in view of the increasingly pronounced globalisation pressures operating on the Slovenian employment market, the question of the employment of Slovenian workers in other European countries arises as a real problem and possibility at the systemic and individual level. The main focus of the research is on individual, family, group, within a systemic situation and obstacles and motivations that can affect the initiation or retention of migration from the Slovenian employment environment to the employment environment of other European countries. The research sought to capture and evaluate the circumstances that trigger or delay migration and which are related to: - the generational affiliation of individuals; characteristics of their socialization; - their educational status; - their employment status and position in the national employment market; - their family status; - their individual and family material conditions; - their value orientation; - their cultural and linguistic skills for the transition to new employment environments, etc.
