The New Religious Movement
Description
The main purpose of the research was to obtain basic information about one of the older, larger, better organized and more active new religious movements in our country, Kṛṣṇa Consciousness Community. The research contains data on the development of the community, its functioning, organizational structure and financing, the way of life in the community, religious practices and the like. One of the goals was also to find out who the members of the community are, what is their involvement in the community and what are their relations with the surroundings. The purpose of the research was also to determine to what extent (if at all) members of the community are immersed in the entire Slovenian population regarding socio-demographic characteristics and some of their views, and to investigate the similarities and differences between members of the community and active Catholics.
