Innovative forms of living environments for older people in Slovenia, 2015

A variety of models of residential care for the elderly are established in the world. In Slovenia, we also have some examples of local good practices in the provision of services for the elderly. However, we need to be careful when transposing and implementing these innovations, as they do not necessarily prove to be successful in other environments as well. and for all age groups of older people. Objective of the research (INFORMES - an acronym of the English title of the project: Innovative forms of living environments for elderly people in Slovenia) The aim was to determine which alternative forms of housing care and which services for the elderly meet the needs, wishes and habits of older people in Slovenia. The assumption is that in Slovenia they differ according to the environment in which older people live (city-rural), according to different age groups of older people, according to the type of housing unit in where they live (house-apartment), etc. Data for analysis in the context of the survey are obtained from the survey. A similar study entitled Housing needs of pensioners and other elderly people persons was carried out in 2002 by the Urban Planning Institute of the Republic of Slovenia and the Faculty of Social Sciences. . In 2017, a version of the data was published. a file containing the weight per region. In the version of the data file published in 2019, a weight per gender was added by two age groups.
