Emerging forms of cooperation between private sector organisations and higher education institutions, 2014

Description

EMCOSU (Emerging Modes of Cooperation between Private Sector Organisations and Universities) strengthen the link between education activities and employability needs of higher education graduates, and in particular promote cooperation with higher education education. Currently, the most important national and international mechanisms contributing to the achievement of this objective are closely linked to cooperation between higher education institutions and businesses, which is the main focus of the EMCOSU project, which seeks to answer the following questions: a) What are the most relevant ways of university-business cooperation and why? b) How can these modes be logically systematised according to the specific needs of stakeholders, country, fields of study and sectors? c) What are the current characteristics of the methods of cooperation and what are the needs for their further development? d) What are the key drivers and motivations for developing cooperation on the part of universities and businesses? e) What is the potential of the identified improvements compared to existing policy tools: credit scores and sector-specific frameworks Higher education qualifications? Which sectors and jobs in selected partner countries and at EU level have the highest potential for acceptance Higher education graduates in the future? The survey includes companies from EMCOSU countries (Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia, Spain) and other non-EMCOSU countries/regions: Croatia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy, continental European countries, countries of the former Yugoslavia, Scandinavian countries and Russia. The entire EMCOSU survey included data for companies, specific sectors and employers' associations. In the Social Science Data Archives, data is accessible only for companies.
