Description

The Health and State of Health Survey (EHIS) is a study that, with the help of interviews on a representative sample of the population of Slovenia, 15 years of age or older, determines the state of health of the population, how often various health services are used and what life expectancy is A style related to health. Healthcare issues include dental, physical and mental health/diseases, physical activity restrictions, use health services and medicines, lifestyle (diet, physical activity, smoking, alcohol). Thus, a picture of the health of the population can be formed, which allows identification of priority areas for the development of future programmes to improve the health of the population. Slovenia-specific questions were added to the questionnaire. The survey was carried out in Slovenia for the first time in 2007. It is expected to take place every 5 years. The research was carried out by the National Institute of Public Health, which is the legal successor of the Institute of Public Health of the Republic of Slovenia. When using the data, it is recommended to carefully follow the questionnaire, since it contains a lot of skips and conditions.
