Operation of the Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia in the process of its transformation, 1991
Description
The research on the positions of deputies on the functioning of the Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia provides an insight into the positions of deputies regarding some of the fundamental elements of parliamentarism in a country in transition and within an institution in the process of its transformation. In this way, the perception of the representation of interests, which is one of the fundamental components of the parliamentary mandate, is observed in more detail, as well as the entire structure of the functioning of the parliament with the functioning of the working bodies at the head. The aim of the research is to discover how deputies perceive the role and functioning of the working bodies of the Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, the role of working bodies in assembly decision-making, the relationship between the working bodies of the Assembly and government departments, the role of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia in the decision-making process, the connection between deputies, the relationship between position and opposition, interest groups and political parties. Particular attention shall also be paid to the opinions of Members on amendments to the Assembly.
